Happy new year, all.

Hi.

How've you been?

Yeah, things have been weird here, too.

I took a solid month's break from spinning regularly.  Sorry folks.  I really needed it.

Lots of things have been put into perspective and lots of steps have been made to take care of a lot of shit.

But it's okay.

I'm okay.

You're okay.

Yes.

Here's the last set I did at The Box.  It was before Xmas, and I wanted to get all up in that yuletide gaiety while I still could.  Necromos helped.

Well there you have it.

I will be spinning regularly, again, starting this Sunday.  Technically I'm kicking things off tonight for a birthday party in Oakland, but, you know.  Ninja Lounge will be back on the 22nd this month, but we're keeping the guests on lockdown.

Don't worry.

You know I treat you right.

.

I have to be honest.

I've been making music, again, in my time off.  My brain was allowed to shift its focus more towards doing that.

And I want that more.

So, my brain needs to make a bit of a shift in priorities.

(But I still love to shake with you guys, as well.  Fear not.)

.

Oh.

Yes.

One more thing.

I have an idea for a new short story.

I'm laying low tonight, hence I'm updating this little guy.

Normally I would be out and about, drinking, smoking and getting angry at the jukebox for not playing my song soon enough.  It happens.

Not tonight, friends.  I'm literally waiting for the water to heat up on my stove so I can make some instant Thai tea and be warm.  I may even break open the new book I've been reading (Lunatic Heroes by C Anthony Martignetti; damn fine read, he's got a good voice and is very poignant)--OR my new favorite comics, Gloomcookie.  Possibly both.

WOAH, WATCH OUT!!  WE GOT A REAL WILD ONE OVER HERE!

I'm also hoping to jog tomorrow.

Here are my latest sets from The Box.

I'm taking this Sunday off and am heading back to the Northern Lands.  Family stuff, yuletide gaiety, reconnecting with old friends...that kinda stuff.  Samhain and I will brave the trek together.  I will be back next Sunday, though, in full effect.

Happy holidays, all.  I don't care if you celebrate or not, I DON'T CARE.  You read this thing and take interest in whatever I'm spinning but also whatever's on my mind, and I really appreciate that.  You are awesome, and I'm thankful to have really cool people in my life--directly or indirectly--wanting to give support and props.  And be friends.

So you're the fire lighting my yule log.

(That's what she said)

Thank you.

I have no witty opening this time, unfortunately. Call it, the holidays, I guess.

But watching people dance and interacting with the audience (YOU GUYS!) always makes me happy. Thank you. I even got to bust out my favorite Amon Tobin song in the first set. Yay! <3

Take care guys. Happy holidays to you all, whichever one you choose (or refuse) to celebrate.
