Neat.  I'm only two weeks back.

Probably going to try to stick to that format, here on out.  Same deal with Ninja Lounge, honestly.  Keeps things otherwise organized.

(Fingers crossed, at least.  Shit gets real.)

We need lava lamps, I feel.  And pumpkins.  Always pumpkins.

Rules?

HA!

There ARE no rules.

Happy new year, all.

Hi.

How've you been?

Yeah, things have been weird here, too.

I took a solid month's break from spinning regularly.  Sorry folks.  I really needed it.

Lots of things have been put into perspective and lots of steps have been made to take care of a lot of shit.

But it's okay.

I'm okay.

You're okay.

Yes.

Here's the last set I did at The Box.  It was before Xmas, and I wanted to get all up in that yuletide gaiety while I still could.  Necromos helped.

Well there you have it.

I will be spinning regularly, again, starting this Sunday.  Technically I'm kicking things off tonight for a birthday party in Oakland, but, you know.  Ninja Lounge will be back on the 22nd this month, but we're keeping the guests on lockdown.

Don't worry.

You know I treat you right.

.

I have to be honest.

I've been making music, again, in my time off.  My brain was allowed to shift its focus more towards doing that.

And I want that more.

So, my brain needs to make a bit of a shift in priorities.

(But I still love to shake with you guys, as well.  Fear not.)

.

Oh.

Yes.

One more thing.

I have an idea for a new short story.

'ello folks.

Yes, things are starting to mellow out, slightly.

Ever so slightly.

Things are being Managed, Scandals are being Handled, and everything is slowly being brought back together.

After being smashed into a million fragile little pieces.  Wrap a little bow around each of 'em.

No.  Really, they are, now.

The 14th Anniversary was a smash.  Thanks to Kenny and Laurel for helping me out with the decorations in the front, everyone who busted out in the Black Room to make it look just as stellar, the wonderful staff at the Blue Lagoon for hosting our spooky, often vinyl-encased asses for 14 years, and most importantly...

Every one of you for coming out.

Thanks.

Most of these are from the White Room at The Box.  One will be a summation from Ninja Lounge.

.

(Also I was Alex from Orange is the New Black for Halloween.  Live it and love it, folks.)

'ello folks.

I'm in limbo.

I'm stuck in between multiple worlds.

It's like Prince, "Controversy":
I just can't believe all the things people say
Am I black or white?  Am I straight or gay?
Do I believe in god?  Do I believe in me?
I can't understand human curiosity
Was it good for you?  Was I what you wanted me to be?

But at the same time, as confusing as it sometimes may be, at least it's showing me worlds upon worlds of options and ideas.

And that, if anything, is always a welcomed constant.

There's also a werewolf DJ battle in here.  True story.

Keeping in line with promoting acts like Secret Society of the Sonic Six and The Soft Moon, I GREATLY recommend you all check out Vice Device via the links provided in the sets.  Hailing out of that quirky and often gloomy town of Portland, OR, they play old school analog synths with driving bass lines, creating dark, minimal grooves.  Also, a quiet saxophone haunts certain tracks, adding sort of a neo-noir sound to a stripped electronic landscape.

It basically sounds how Blade Runner plays out, visually.

Check 'em out.

.

In the meantime, the big debut of Weird_POP--a night of off-beat 80s/90s tunes, minimal/new/darkwave, post-punk and indie pop--has been delayed until next month.  Sorry folks.  Myself and the others involved were pretty excited, but this may be a blessing in disguise.

It gives me more time to pull out any stops and make it a very cool night for all who  attend.

So, you know, stay put.

Because it's going to be rad.

I'll keep you posted.

Alright, alright, alright.  Fine.

I'll update this thing.  Sorry.

I'm just tired of seeing my stats fly up, knowing that it's generated by ad robots in Russia and Latvia.

Thanks for keeping tabs, ad robots.  Continue destroying all humans, and whatnot.
